Campaign Relay: Nominates Heo Wook, President of Taeung Co., Ltd.
Busan City has enthusiastically passed the 4th baton of the ‘Good Payment’ campaign relay to Dongil Co., Ltd.
Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-jun) announced on the 6th that Kim Eun-su, president of Dongil Co., Ltd., participated as the 4th private company in the ‘Busan-style Good Payment Campaign’ on the 5th.
President Kim visited Beomcheon Central Market in Busanjin-gu with the head of Busanjin-gu Office and prepaid meal and snack expenses for employees at four places including restaurants.
Dongil Co., Ltd., established in 1981, is a local company in Busan that has supplied more than 50,000 households in apartment complexes mainly in the Gyeonggi, Busan, and Yeongnam regions. It is well known for its ‘Dongil Suite’ brand and achieved 35th place nationwide in the 2015 construction company performance evaluation.
In 2015, Dongil established the social welfare corporation Dongil and has continued various social activities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it donated 100 million KRW to the Busan Community Chest of Korea.
President Kim Eun-su said, “I agreed with the good purpose of the Good Payment Campaign and participated, hoping it will have a positive impact on the local economy,” adding, “I hope many people will join to revitalize small business owners and traditional markets.”
President Kim nominated Heo Wook, president of Taeung Co., Ltd., as the next participant. Taeung, established in 1981, supplies high-quality steel products to domestic and international clients in shipbuilding, nuclear power, wind power, petrochemical plants, and aerospace, contributing to the growth of key industries and regional economic development.
The private sector’s ‘Busan-style Good Payment Campaign’ runs until February, encouraging prepayment at local regular restaurants, cafes, and other small business stores with a promise to revisit.
Busan City is conducting a ‘Good Payment Certification Event’ until April 6 to expand citizen participation. Citizens who wish to participate can prepay 100,000 KRW or more at Busan-area businesses, register payment receipts and business coupons as certification materials on the city’s website, and leave messages supporting small business owners.
Large marts, department stores, online shopping malls, and businesses outside Busan are excluded from the event. Duplicate entries are not allowed. Participants who register from Monday to Sunday will be entered into a draw held the following Wednesday, selecting 78 winners weekly to receive Dongbaekjeon policy support funds worth 50,000 KRW (3 winners), 30,000 KRW (5 winners), and 10,000 KRW (70 winners).
