China Opposes Forced Relocation of Palestinians in Gaza Strip
China opposed U.S. President Donald Trump's declaration to relocate Palestinian residents to Jordan, Egypt, and other places, and for the United States to occupy and develop the Gaza Strip.
At a regular briefing on the 5th, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Zhen stated, "China has consistently believed that 'Palestinian people governing Palestine' (巴人治巴) is the fundamental principle of post-conflict governance in the Gaza Strip," and added, "We oppose the forced relocation of the people of the Gaza Strip."
He further said, "We hope that all parties will use the ceasefire and post-conflict governance in the Gaza Strip as an opportunity to bring the Palestinian issue back onto the correct track of a political solution based on the 'two-state solution' (Palestinian independence), thereby promoting lasting peace in the Middle East."
