Strong Winds Expected to Make It Feel Even Colder
On Wednesday the 5th, the cold wave is expected to continue, with morning low temperatures dropping to as low as minus 17 degrees Celsius.
The Korea Meteorological Administration announced on the 4th that until the 6th, morning temperatures will be very low, below minus 10 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country, and strong winds during the day may cause the wind chill to drop even further.
The morning low temperature on the 5th is expected to range from minus 17 degrees to minus 3 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature is expected to range from minus 7 degrees to 4 degrees Celsius.
The cold wave accompanied by strong winds may cause the wind chill to feel even colder. In most parts of the country, there will be places where wind gusts exceed 55 km/h, so special attention is required for facility management and safety accidents.
In particular, the Chungnam West Coast, Jeolla Coast, Gyeongsang East Coast, and Jeju Island will experience strong winds with gusts exceeding 70 km/h (90 km/h in mountainous areas).
