Police Request Arrest Warrant for 'Green Jumper Man' in West District Court Violence Incident
Suspicions of Broadcasting Company Reporter Unfounded
The police have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 20s who was arrested on charges of damaging court property during the violent incident at the Seoul Western District Court.
On the 4th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A on charges including trespassing in a shared building and damaging public property to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office the previous day.
Mr. A broke into the Western District Court and damaged the court's glass windows with a fire extinguisher after an arrest warrant was issued for President Yoon Seok-yeol on the 19th of last month.
The person presumed to be Mr. A was seen wearing a green jumper and spraying a fire extinguisher at the police officers blocking the main gate of the court.
