On the 1st, the Gwangju Emergency Action for Immediate Resignation of the Yoon Sukyeol Administration and Social Reform issued a statement, asserting, "Immediately impeach Acting President Choi, who protects insurrectionist forces and repeatedly obstructs investigations."
They further emphasized, "If he is not removed and the current situation is allowed to continue, the insurrectionist forces will become more emboldened, and the regression of the Republic of Korea will persist."
They continued, "This second Insurrection Special Prosecutor Act was a special prosecutor act that fully accepted the demands of the People Power Party," and criticized, "Acting President Choi's rejection on the grounds of lack of effectiveness and bipartisan agreement is, in the end, merely a declaration that he will not accept it under any circumstances."
Finally, they urged the Democratic Party, saying, "Trust the people and, together with the people, embark on the path of struggle to eradicate the insurrectionist forces at their roots."

He stated, "Compared to the previous special prosecutor bills that were sent to the government, the current 'Special Prosecutor Act for the Investigation of Insurrection by the Yoon Sukyeol Administration' has addressed some unconstitutional elements," and added, "Nevertheless, I regret that, just like the previous special prosecutor bills, it was passed in the National Assembly solely by the opposition party without bipartisan agreement."
