Suwon City to Launch 'Emergency Snow Removal Duty' on 26th... 123 Snow Removal Vehicles Deployed
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province has entered a snow removal emergency duty system starting at 6 p.m. on the 26th in response to a heavy snow advisory.
The Korea Meteorological Administration previously issued a heavy snow advisory for Gyeonggi Province from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the 27th. According to the forecast, 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected to fall in Suwon on the 27th.
In accordance with the emergency duty, Suwon deployed 123 snow removal vehicles including graders, loaders, and excavators, along with 154 snow removal personnel. Starting from 1 a.m. on the 27th, de-icing agents were preemptively spread throughout all districts of Suwon, and the de-icing was carried out again at 6 a.m.

A Suwon city official stated, "Following Suwon's snow removal manual, we will continuously monitor the situation before the snowfall and respond systematically," adding, "We will carry out snow removal operations swiftly to ensure that citizens do not experience inconvenience."
