An Asiana Airlines passenger plane scheduled to fly from Chiang Mai, Thailand to Incheon was canceled due to an aircraft defect.
Asiana Airlines announced that on the 25th at 12:25 AM (local time), flight OZ766 (A330 model), which was scheduled to depart from Chiang Mai International Airport to Incheon International Airport, detected an engine malfunction while accelerating on the runway, resulting in the suspension of the flight.
During this process, some passengers testified that "sparks were seen coming from the engine."
Asiana Airlines immediately disembarked about 270 passengers from the plane and moved them to a hotel. Later that day, at 4:55 PM, a replacement flight was arranged.
