View original imageThe phrase that office workers most want to hear during this Lunar New Year holiday is "You worked hard, well done."
On the 22nd, Eugene Group announced the results of a survey related to the Lunar New Year holiday conducted among 1,057 employees of its affiliates, including Eugene Corporation, Eugene Investment & Securities, Dongyang, Eugene Home Center, Eugene Hanil Fibers, and Eugene Logistics. According to the survey, the most desired phrases to hear were "You worked hard, well done" (54.9%), "Thank you, it's thanks to you" (13.2%), "I love you, I miss you" (12.1%), and "Cheer up, you can do it" (12.0%), in that order.
When asked about the most enjoyable memories during the Lunar New Year holiday, 48.7% of respondents answered "conversations with family." This was followed by "dining out and outdoor activities" (20.6%), "family trips" (17.0%), and "traditional games such as Yutnori" (8.5%).
As for the reasons they are looking forward to this Lunar New Year, 45.9% said "sufficient rest." This was followed by "visiting parents and relatives" (28.4%) and "family activities (dining out, outings, etc.)" (15.2%).

View original image73.7% of respondents said they have travel plans for this Lunar New Year holiday. This is about 4.6 percentage points higher than the same survey last year (69.1%). It appears to be because the holiday period is longer than last year.
The schedules for returning to hometowns and returning home were concentrated from Tuesday to Thursday next week. Regarding the schedule for returning to hometowns, the largest percentage, 23.4%, chose the 28th. The percentages for the 27th and 25th were 15.1% and 12.9%, respectively. On the other hand, for returning home, the 29th was chosen by 28.3%, the highest proportion. This was followed by the 30th at 22.6%.

The average expected expense was about 875,000 won. This is approximately a 3.4% increase compared to last year’s Lunar New Year holiday (846,000 won). By age group, those in their 20s expected an average of 552,000 won, those in their 30s 751,000 won, those in their 40s 1,007,000 won, and those aged 50 and above 991,000 won.
