In a press release issued that day, Lee claimed, "Kim Youngseok, the provincial party chairman, and the nomination committee members have deprived me of my rights as a candidate through excessive arbitrariness and abuse of authority," and insisted, "They broke the principle of holding the first primary through a public opinion poll and suddenly announced the cutoff decision to the media."
He continued, "On the 20th, I filed an appeal with the central party and also visited the court," adding, "Along with the main lawsuit, I also filed for an injunction. All responsibility lies with Chairman Kim Youngseok."
Meanwhile, if the court accepts the injunction request, the People Power Party will not be able to finalize a candidate until the main lawsuit is concluded.
