No More Parking Worries During Lunar New Year Holiday! ...26 Public Parking Lots in Mapo-gu Open for Free
Public Parking Lots Free of Charge for Four Days Starting January 27
Mapo-gu Office Parking Lot Also Open for Free for Residents and Holiday Travelers
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) will open public parking lots free of charge around Red Road and traditional markets to ease parking inconveniences for local residents and visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The free opening period is four days from January 27 to January 30, designated as temporary holidays. Parking fees at public parking lots will be fully waived during the holiday.
The free public parking lots include 26 paid public parking lots in the area, including Mangwon Market, World Cup Market, and Yeomni Public Parking Lot.
In particular, Mapo-gu expects many tourists to flock to the Red Road and Hapjeong Sky Road areas during the holiday, so Donggyo-dong, Hapjeong, Dangin, and Yeonnam street parking lots are included in the free opening targets. However, resident-priority parking lots and Daehung Public Parking Lot, which is expected to have parking difficulties due to its small size, are excluded from the free opening.
Separately from the public parking lots, Mapo-gu Office parking lot will also be opened free of charge to enhance convenience for residents.
Detailed information about the free opening of public parking lots can be found on the Mapo-gu website.
