Police Investigate 173 Malicious Posts on Jeju Air Disaster... 2 More Arrested
The police announced on the 13th that they are investigating 173 malicious posts and videos involving defamation and insults directed at the victims and bereaved families of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster.
According to the National Police Agency, the Busan Cyber Investigation Unit apprehended two additional posters on the 9th, and suspects are being sequentially identified mainly by the cyber investigation units of the city and provincial police agencies.

A police official stated, "Indiscriminate posting of malicious posts and videos online is a serious criminal act," and added, "We ask that rumors and malicious posts and videos be refrained from so that the bereaved families do not suffer further pain."
