According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, there have been no casualties so far, but the fire spread to about 90 tons of scrap tires piled up at the site, and it is expected to take a long time to extinguish.
Responding to reports of thick black smoke, the fire authorities dispatched 140 personnel, including 96 firefighters and 40 wildfire suppression team members, along with 37 pieces of equipment such as fire trucks, helicopters, and excavators to put out the fire.
