Amid growing concerns about small regional airports, the discussion focused on measures to improve key facilities and establish a safety management system to prevent aircraft accidents and strengthen safety management at Pohang Gyeongju Airport.
In particular, the azimuth facility in the form of a mound installed at Pohang Gyeongju Airport was identified as highly risky in the event of an unexpected accident, and active efforts were agreed upon to find improvement measures.
Mayor Lee requested thorough safety management to ensure that the airport can be used with peace of mind, and the new director Oh Seong-won stated that he would strive to reflect the discussed matters in the improvement of airport facilities and the establishment of a safety management system.
