Suwon Nambu Fire Station Urges Caution for Campsite Fires
The Suwon Southern Fire Station in Gyeonggi recently urged special caution as the increase in camping tent users has raised the possibility of fires.
The Suwon Southern Fire Station emphasized that tents are made of flammable materials, and since fires may be detected late at night, the likelihood of casualties is high. Therefore, it is important to check the location and usage of fire extinguishing equipment provided at campsites in advance.
They also warned that preparation against carbon monoxide is necessary, as carbon monoxide trapped due to lack of ventilation in the cold winter can threaten lives.
Go Young-ju, head of the Suwon Southern Fire Station, said, "Winter camping can create precious memories with family if safety rules are followed well, but neglecting them can lead to fire disasters," urging special caution regarding tent fires.
