Jangseong County Secures 15 Billion KRW in Special Grants Since Launch of 8th Civil Administration
Jangseong County in South Jeolla Province has secured a total of 15 billion KRW in special grants since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration.
According to Jangseong County on the 8th, 4 billion KRW secured last year was allocated to key local projects such as the 'Improvement of Access Road to the National Subtropical Crop Demonstration Center (500 million KRW)', 'Creation of Pine Tree Avenue at UNESCO World Heritage Site Pilam Seowon (500 million KRW)', and 'Revitalization of the Rose Park at Pyeongnim Dam (300 million KRW)'.
Additionally, the county secured disaster safety special grants for projects ensuring residents' safety, including the 'Intelligent CCTV Installation Project (400 million KRW)', 'Integration of the Intelligent Control Center with Bukha-myeon Natural Disaster Risk Zone (400 million KRW)', and 'Renovation of Aging Sewage Facilities (800 million KRW)'.
The county explained that timely acquisition of the special grants was possible thanks to close communication between county officials, including County Governor Kim Hanjong, and frequent visits to the National Assembly and central government agencies.
County Governor Kim Hanjong stated, "Since securing national funding is the key to resolving pending projects, we will continue to make every effort to expand the budget by discovering new sources of national and provincial funds and operating the Sejong Office."
