Gwangju Seo-gu Establishes 'Dementia Safety Center Branch' at Public Health Center

Seo-gu, Gwangju (District Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 7th that it has established a branch of the Dementia Safety Center within the public health center to improve local residents' accessibility to dementia prevention management services.

View original imageThe Dementia Safety Center branch operates on the 2nd floor of the Seo-gu Public Health Center's clinic room from Monday to Friday (excluding weekends and public holidays), from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., providing dementia cognitive screening tests (CIST) and support services for protective supplies for registered dementia patients.
In particular, Seo-gu plans to use the Dementia Safety Center branch to integrally provide aptitude tests and dementia screening services for elderly drivers aged 75 and older who are renewing their driver's licenses. Additionally, those suspected of cognitive decline based on the screening results will be referred to the main center for diagnostic tests and detailed management.
