Foreigners 'Saja'... KOSPI Recovers to 2510 Level
Thanks to foreign buying pressure, the KOSPI index is on the rise on the morning of the 7th.

View original imageAs of 10:04 AM, the KOSPI was trading at 2,516.45, up 27.81 points (1.12%) from the previous day. The index started at 2,513.49, up 24.85 points (1.00%), and continues to rise. Currently, foreigners are net buying 146.8 billion KRW, and institutions are net buying 5 billion KRW. Individuals sold off 156.7 billion KRW on their own.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Biologics (5.71%), HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (2.27%), LG Energy Solution (1.94%), Celltrion (1.52%), Shinhan Financial Group (1.43%), Hyundai Mobis (1.43%), LG Chem (1.36%), and Samsung C&T (1.34%) are rising. Kia (-0.40%) and SK Hynix (-0.35%) are declining.
By sector, pharmaceuticals (3.50%), general services (3.26%), machinery equipment (2.39%), electric and gas utilities (2.24%), construction (2.04%), transportation equipment (1.54%), and securities (1.44%) are rising. On the other hand, insurance (-0.17%) and information technology (IT) services (-0.10%) sectors are declining.
On the 6th (local time) at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the blue-chip-focused Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 25.57 points (0.06%) at 42,706.56. The large-cap S&P 500 index rose 32.91 points (0.55%) to 5,975.38, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq index closed up 243.30 points (1.24%) at 19,864.98. The New York market experienced increased volatility early in the session due to tariff threats from U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, but ended mixed with strength centered on AI and semiconductor-related stocks.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index recorded 719.24, up 1.28 points (0.18%) from the previous close. The index started at 719.68, up 1.72 points (0.24%). Foreigners and institutions net sold 37 billion KRW and 6 billion KRW respectively. Individuals bought 56.8 billion KRW.

Meanwhile, Sinsung Delta Tech (-4.31%), Rino Industrial (-1.44%), HPSP (-0.86%), EcoPro (-0.63%), and Classys (-0.57%) are declining.
