Gwangju City to Support Public Interest Activities of Non-Profit Private Organizations
Applications open until the 7th of next month... Up to 30 million won per group
Final selection results to be announced on the website on April 1
Gwangju City announced on the 6th that it is publicly recruiting organizations to participate in the '2025 Non-Profit Private Organization Public Interest Activity Support Project' until February 7. This project aims to promote voluntary public interest activities by non-profit private organizations to foster community development.
Prior to the recruitment, the city will hold an information session for the public interest activity support project at 2 p.m. on the 7th in the main conference room at City Hall. The session will provide details on the implementation plan for the support project and the evaluation plan for the previous year's projects.
The city will invest a total project budget of 1.2 billion KRW to support public interest activities in six areas: Happy City, New Economic City, Fun City, Caring City, Safe City, and Education City. Each organization can receive support ranging from a minimum of 4 million KRW to a maximum of 30 million KRW. Organizations wishing to receive support must allocate at least 7% of the subsidy amount as self-funding.
Eligible applicants are non-profit private organizations registered in Gwangju City as of December 31, 2024, that continue to meet the legal registration requirements. The application period is from the 6th until February 7, and the final selection results will be announced on the Gwangju City website on April 1.
Selected organizations must complete training on the Local Subsidy Management System (Botaem-e) before applying for the subsidy. For more details, contact the Gwangju City Citizen Communication Division or check the city website under City News → Notices/Announcements/Legislative Notices.
