Governor Kim Kwang-yeol stated, “From January to April, the peak season for Yeongdeok snow crab fishing, water temperatures drop and frequent storm warnings are issued, increasing the risk of human and material damage. Therefore, strict safety management during fishing operations is urgently required. We will deploy the fishing guidance vessel Yeongdeok Nuriho at the forefront to prepare for any emergencies and conduct regular inspections to ensure fishermen can carry out their activities safely.”
