Delivered 1 Ton of Tteokguk Rice Cakes Worth 10 Million Won, Practicing Neighborly Love

The Pohang Lifelong Education Leaders Association visited Pohang City Hall on the 3rd and shared warm feelings by delivering 1 ton of rice cake soup rice cakes worth 10 million won.

Every year, the executives and members of the Pohang Lifelong Education Leaders Association, who take the lead in sharing and volunteering, voluntarily collected rice and even packed it themselves for neighbors in need to celebrate the New Year of the Eulsa year.

Kim Yongjae, president of the Pohang Lifelong Education Leaders Association, said, “We put our hopes that many people will have a warm holiday,” adding, “We hope this will help neighbors in need welcome the New Year, even if just a little.”

Mayor Lee Kangdeok said, “I am grateful for the warm hearts of the members of the Pohang Lifelong Education Leaders Association who delivered rice cake soup rice cakes for neighbors in need as we welcome the New Year,” and added, “This year as well, we will work hard together to create a Pohang where all citizens are happy without anyone being left out.”

The rice cake soup rice cakes of love delivered this time are scheduled to be distributed by eup, myeon, and dong at the Pohang City Hall square on the 6th with the cooperation of the Pohang Welfare Policy Division, and will be delivered to about 500 households, approximately 2 kg per household.
