Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Announces Recruitment for Young Trainees at National Arts Organizations
Selected 600 Candidates, 250 More Than Last Year
On the 3rd, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it will recruit and nurture young trainees in collaboration with seven national art organizations, the National Gugak Center, and the National Theater.
This project aims to provide public stage experience to young artists who find it difficult to gain practical experience, while discovering the next generation of K-Culture leaders. Considering the high interest this year, 600 people will be selected, 250 more than last year's 350. Excluding the separately selected 55 people (45 for the National Opera Company, 10 for the National Theater), 545 will be recruited from the 6th to the 24th.
Selections will be made in four fields: classical music (45 for the National Opera Company, 50 for the National Choir, 90 for the National Symphony Orchestra), dance (30 for the National Ballet Company, 30 for the National Contemporary Dance Company), theater and musicals (80 for the National Theater Company), and traditional arts (60 for the National Gugak Center, 60 for regional Gugak centers, 80 for the National Theater, 20 for the National Jeongdong Theater).
The candidates must be young artists aged between 19 and 34. They should have graduated or be expected to graduate from a related university program. Those with relevant experience can also apply.
