Yoo Hong-rim, President of Seoul National University, stated that SNU will present the collective intelligence wisdom to society to solve the complex challenges facing our country.
In his New Year's address on the 2nd, President Yoo said, "The deep-rooted domestic and international political, economic, and social issues, along with the anxiety over other potential crises they may cause, will not be easily resolved. Especially at times like these, SNU must unite all its capabilities to propose new hope and progressive alternatives through educational innovation and the manifestation of collective intelligence to prepare for the future."
He continued, "Through the 'Daehan Alliance Regional Talent Development Project Group' launched last year, we will further expand cooperation and resource-sharing platforms with regional universities. Additionally, through the National Future Strategy Institute, we will present the collective intelligence wisdom capable of solving the complex challenges our country faces to our society," outlining specific goals.
President Yoo also emphasized, "As much as we contribute to overcoming the crises and challenges faced by the nation, society, and humanity, trust in Seoul National University will increase. To fulfill our responsibilities as SNU leading the era of great transformation, let us gather wisdom and capabilities together and put them into practice this year as well."
This year marks the 50th anniversary of SNU’s integration into the Gwanak Campus. President Yoo stated, "True integration is not only the unification of campuses but also creating new synergy based on integration in education and research, which are the university’s fundamental missions. Innovations in all areas, including university administration systems, methods, and infrastructure, are also being promoted in ways that support this."
