Samsung C&T Home Platform 'Homenic' Applied to Hanwha Forena Busan Dangri
'EV Air Station' Pilot Applied at Raemian Songdo Station Centripole
Samsung C&T Corporation's construction division will apply its home platform 'Homenic' to Hanwha Construction Division's residential brand Hanwha Forena. Hanwha's next-generation electric vehicle charging system will be introduced to Raemian.
On the 19th, Samsung C&T Corporation's construction division and Hanwha Construction Division signed a strategic partnership for smart residential technology cooperation at the Hanwha Building in Janggyo-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. At the signing ceremony, both companies introduced their strategic products and exchanged memorandums of understanding. About 20 officials, including Park Min-yong, head of Samsung C&T's Development Business Division, and Kim Min-seok, head of Hanwha Construction Division's Architecture Business Division, attended.
Through this agreement, the home platform 'Homenic' will be applied to Hanwha Forena, and Samsung C&T will apply Hanwha Construction Division's electric vehicle charging system ‘EV Air Station’ to Raemian to create synergy.
'Homenic' is a home platform where users can access smart home functions, community facility reservations, real-time energy usage monitoring, and services necessary for residential life all in one place. It can control home appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices regardless of brand. New services such as Apartment Care, which provides after-sales service for repairs and replacements in aging residential complexes, are also being expanded.
Samsung C&T launched the dedicated Homenic app in August last year and first introduced it to 'Raemian One Bailey,' then expanded it to existing residential complexes. Currently, about 50,000 households are using Homenic.
Samsung C&T plans to apply Homenic starting with Hanwha Construction Division's 'Hanwha Forena Busan Dangri' complex. Based on this agreement, Samsung C&T intends to expand Homenic to other brand apartments and enhance services by applying various functions.
Samsung C&T will pilot Hanwha Construction Division's ceiling-type electric vehicle charging system ‘EV Air Station’ at Raemian Songdo Station Centripole.
EV Air Station is a next-generation electric vehicle charging system where the connector descends from the ceiling. It can charge up to three vehicles simultaneously with one charger, maximizing space utilization and reducing installation costs by about 60% compared to existing systems. It was first applied at ‘Hanwha Forena Pohang’.
Through this partnership, both companies plan to develop various strategic products and provide differentiated customer experiences through smart residential technology cooperation.
Kim Min-seok, head of Hanwha Construction Division's Architecture Business Division, said, "The proactive adoption of smart technologies possessed by both companies will provide customers with a differentiated brand experience."
