Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that from December 14 to 21, Christmas festivals planned directly by youth will be held at Doksan Youth Culture House and Geumcheon Youth Culture House.
The festival was prepared so that young people could create and enjoy various hands-on activities together in celebration of Christmas.
At Doksan Youth Culture House, ‘Finding the Real Santa: ON’ will be held on December 14. Christmas-related activities such as cupcake, mini tree, Christmas card making, headband decorating, and photo shooting will take place. In addition, snacks will be provided to those who find the real Santa by solving five problems together with the culture house leaders.
The program will be held twice, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Youth in Geumcheon-gu from 1st grade elementary school and above who are interested can apply for their preferred time slot through the QR code on the promotional material.
At Geumcheon Youth Culture House, ‘Early Christmas Week’ will be held from December 17 to 24. On the 3rd floor hideout, activities matching the Christmas atmosphere such as muffin decorating, snowball making, wreath doorbell making, wish sock making, and Christmas treasure hunting will be conducted.
The 4th floor youth space is decorated as a Christmas-themed party space, providing laptops, a projector, snacks, and a photo area. It can be used by 3 to 6 youths residing in Geumcheon-gu who want to have a fun time with friends, and applications can be made by phone or visit.
From December 17 to 20, one team per day can use the space for 3 hours from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. On December 14 and 21, three teams per day can use the space for 3 hours each from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
On December 21, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, ‘Merry Sports Day’ will be held at the 3rd floor hideout of Geumcheon Youth Culture House. Indoor sports such as laser shooting, agility games, and Nintendo sports will be prepared for youth to enjoy with their peers.
For laser shooting, youth who pre-register through the QR code on the promotional material will have priority participation, while agility games and Nintendo sports will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis after on-site registration.
