Bitsrosis "Progress in Commercializing Autonomous Driving Technology"... Night Driving and Adverse Weather Response
Bitsrosis announced on the 10th that it has succeeded in developing autonomous driving technology with high commercialization potential by acquiring autonomous driving technology from the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) of Korea.
Bitsrosis explained that based on a one-year demonstration conducted in the Ulsan Autonomous Vehicle Pilot Zone designated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, it secured advanced technology and stability in driving under severe weather conditions, hazardous zones, and emergency situation responses.
Bitsrosis received multi-sensor fusion technology and AI-based autonomous driving software technology from ETRI. Based on this, it combined LiDAR and cameras to achieve excellent driving stability even during nighttime driving and adverse weather conditions.
A company representative said, "We optimized vehicle perception, judgment, and control technologies based on data to improve response capabilities to dangerous situations," adding, "We plan to further advance emergency response technologies such as jaywalking detection and actively enter the global autonomous driving market."
Since 2021, Bitsrosis has been conducting the 'Development and Demonstration Project for Autonomous Vehicles in Non-Urban Areas' for three years with support from Ulsan City and ETRI. On November 29 last year, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport designated approximately a 1.8 km section of the Ulsan Techno General Industrial Complex as an autonomous vehicle pilot zone. The Ulsan autonomous vehicle demonstration test distance will reach 1,800 km this year, enabling real-time monitoring of road conditions and vehicle locations.
Bitsrosis has experience in building the next-generation intelligent transportation system V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything), a core autonomous driving infrastructure that enables real-time information exchange between vehicles and between vehicles and infrastructure to detect hazards and emergency situations in advance.
In line with the review of autonomous shuttle bus operations in the Ulsan industrial complex next year, Bitsrosis is developing solutions to innovatively improve logistics and traffic efficiency. Through this, it plans to explore entry into the non-general-purpose autonomous driving market as well.
