On the night of the 4th, Commissioner Kim presided over a meeting lasting about an hour with senior officials at the rank of Superintendent or higher from the headquarters, discussing the situation following the declaration of martial law and future measures.
Commissioner Kim instructed the strengthening of maritime surveillance by all ships and patrol stations nationwide, and ordered all commanders across the country to strictly maintain their assigned posts and manage the situation. He also urged to "maintain a state of immediate readiness to ensure there are no factors that could cause public inconvenience or threaten safety."
