Kim Woong: "If Martial Law Commander and Police Ban National Assembly Activities, It Constitutes Treason"
Former People Power Party lawmaker Kim Woong, a former prosecutor, said on the 4th, "Martial law cannot take measures against the activities of the National Assembly, whether by the executive or the judiciary."
On the same day, former lawmaker Kim said, "It is considered treason for the martial law commander or the police to prohibit National Assembly activities, and those who are currently blocking lawmakers from entering the National Assembly will all face severe punishment."
Earlier, President Yoon Seok-yeol announced an emergency statement at the Yongsan Presidential Office on the afternoon of the 3rd, declaring, "We will eradicate pro-North anti-state forces at once and proclaim martial law to protect the free constitutional order."
