Awards were presented to citizens who contributed to the development of the Yeoju area, including those recognized for their service at the Ogoknaru Festival, volunteer activation, and exemplary citizenship. Mayor Lee Chung-woo congratulated the awardees and expressed gratitude for the efforts of the public officials who achieved these results.
Mayor Lee Chung-woo stated, “From November 27 to 28, heavy snowfall across Yeoju caused significant damage and considerable inconvenience to residents. We will promptly implement recovery measures.” He added, “I thank all public officials for the achievements made together in 2024 and ask everyone to make renewed efforts to address any shortcomings.”

He continued, “I hope each department will prepare well so that the 2025 major work plan briefing can be a substantive meeting. As part of the urban regeneration project, I ask all public officials to actively work to ensure the smooth progress of the collaborative project with The Born Korea to create the Gyeonggi Silk Complex Cultural Space, as well as the 2025 Year of Tourism initiatives.”
