Jeon Seung-il, Chairman of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, received the '2024 Local Autonomy Legislative Award Grand Prize' on the 23rd at the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Seoul, hosted by the Korea Voters Central Association.
The '2024 Local Autonomy Legislative Award' is given to members of the National Assembly, metropolitan and basic council members, and metropolitan heads who have demonstrated outstanding legislative activities throughout 2024, recognizing their achievements and widely informing voters to honor them.
Since his inauguration, Chairman Jeon Seung-il has been recognized for his active legislative activities for regional development and efforts in enacting policies and ordinances for socially vulnerable groups, including the 'Elderly Cane Support Ordinance,' the 'Ordinance on Sharing Cars Equipped with Wheelchair Boarding Equipment for Mobility-Impaired Elderly,' and the 'Sign Language Activation Support Ordinance.'
