Daekyo was established in 1976. It is an educational company primarily engaged in the publishing, manufacturing, and sales of learning materials. Namgung Jun, a researcher at Stunning Value Research, stated, "Daekyo started its silver business by launching ‘Daekyo New E-P’ in January 2022," adding, "Sales in 2022 were 1.6 billion KRW, and this year’s sales are expected to increase by about 650% to 12 billion KRW." He further noted, "Utilizing 966 nationwide Noonopi infrastructure silver business bases, silver care sales are projected to reach 25 billion KRW by 2025."
Daekyo recorded consolidated third-quarter sales of 168.8 billion KRW and operating profit of 7.9 billion KRW this year. He explained, "This marks a return to operating profit after five years since COVID-19," attributing it to "increased revenue through membership fee hikes, expansion of the middle school customer base, launch of AI-based premium products, reduction in advertising and marketing expenses, and expansion of the silver business."

He emphasized the need to focus particularly on expanding the silver business. He predicted, "Although the school-age population is decreasing, private education expenditure per capita is increasing, and with the entry into a super-aged society starting next year, the senior market is expected to expand," forecasting that "a profit trend will be maintained from this year onward."
