"People's Anger at Breaking Point" Warning
Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, warned the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, saying, "Public sentiment is drifting away, and the people's anger has reached a critical point."
On the 21st, Park wrote on his SNS, "Public sentiment is shaking, and the people are uniting in criticism," adding, "The dam has already broken. The biggest problem is not recognizing the crisis as a crisis."
He cited a poll commissioned by Dailyan from Polling Fair Co., Ltd., stating, "In the presidential candidate favorability ratings, Lee Jae-myung stands at 43.6%, Han Dong-hoon at 17.3%," and "Party support rates show the Democratic Party at 39.4%, up 6.1 percentage points from the previous week, while the People Power Party dropped 6.7 percentage points to 31.0%."
He then strongly criticized the administration, mentioning incidents such as presidential aides calling a reporter's question about 'what the president apologized for' as 'rude,' suppression of reporters despite lies about the president's golf practice, clashes between presidential entourage and local security personnel at the G20 summit, and neglecting the Kim Kun-hee special investigation.
