Gijang-gun Takes Steps to Strengthen Youth Employment Academy Job Competency
Operation of Employment Education and Consulting Program
First-come, first-served for 20 Gijang Youths aged 19-39
Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced on the 7th that it is recruiting trainees for the "Youth Employment Academy" to strengthen the employment capabilities of local youth until the 13th.
The "Youth Employment Academy" is a program that provides practical programs and consulting to help job-seeking youth prepare for employment, enhancing motivation for employment among youth who have given up job searching and boosting their willingness to seek jobs.
It will be operated for local youth from November 20 to December 13, offering professional employment education such as ▲specialized lectures ▲mock interviews ▲1:1 mentoring courses, as well as supporting youth in building personalized employment strategies to strengthen their employment capabilities.
The participants are youth aged 19 to 39 residing in Gijang-gun. A total of 20 people will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis until the 13th, and applications can be made through the Employment Academy online application page.
This training is entirely free of charge, and detailed information about the program can be found in the announcements section on the Gijang-gun website.
Jeong Jong-bok, Governor of Gijang-gun, said, "Many young people are giving up or hesitating in their job search amid the employment downturn," adding, "We will encourage youth’s willingness to seek jobs and strengthen their employment capabilities through various programs to support successful employment."

Gijang-gun is promoting various employment and start-up support measures to nurture the younger generation’s talents. In particular, starting this year, to alleviate the economic burden caused by employment preparation for youth, it is providing support for qualification exam fees and interview allowances. Applications for qualification exam fees and interview allowances can be submitted through the Gijang-gun Office website until December 9.
