Pre-orders for sales notifications began the day before, and sales will start from 10:08 AM on the 15th at official Samsung Electronics online and offline stores in China.
The W25 features a 6.5-inch display when folded and an 8-inch display when unfolded, identical to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, with a thickness of 10.6 mm, and it is equipped with a 200-megapixel wide-angle camera.
The difference is that the weight is 255 g, which is 19 g heavier compared to the Z Fold Special Edition's 236 g. Samsung Electronics explained that this is due to additional design elements.
The price starts at 15,999 yuan (approximately 3.11 million KRW) for the model with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal memory, and from 17,999 yuan (approximately 3.5 million KRW) for the model with 16GB RAM and 1TB internal memory.
The W25 Flip, the Chinese version of the Galaxy Z Flip6, has a 6.7-inch internal screen and a 3.4-inch external screen, and is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera. The price is 9,999 yuan (approximately 1.94 million KRW).
Recently, in the global smartphone market, led by Chinese manufacturers, the development of thinner and lighter foldable phones is in full swing. Foldable phones are expected to be a breakthrough in the stagnant smartphone market, but the market size is still not large.
Huawei's 'Mate XT,' released last September, initially attracted attention with over 6 million pre-orders, but it is reported that actual sales in September amounted to only 20,000 units.
