Uijeongbu Jangam Memil Flower Village Festival Committee Donates All Festival Profits
Uijeongbu Mayor Kim Dong-geun is taking a commemorative photo with the committee members at the profit donation ceremony of the Jangam Buckwheat Flower Village Festival Promotion Committee.
The Jangam-dong Community Service Center in Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi Province (Director Lee Jae-jin) announced on the 4th that the Jangam Buckwheat Flower Village Festival Promotion Committee (Chairman Park Beom-seo) donated the entire proceeds of 3,795,000 KRW from the recently successfully concluded Jangam Buckwheat Flower Village Festival to the community center.
The Jangam Buckwheat Flower Village Festival Promotion Committee is composed of the Jangam-dong Residents' Autonomous Association as the core and 10 self-governing organizations (the Neighborhood Leaders' Council, Senior Citizens' Association, Sports Promotion Association, Saemaul Leaders' Council, Saemaul Women's Association, Committee for the Right Living Movement, Youth Guidance Council, Autonomous Crime Prevention Unit, and Community Social Security Council).
Chairman Park Beom-seo said, “We are pleased to return the profits earned from the Buckwheat Flower Festival back to the residents,” and added, “We will continue to strive to help the local community through various activities together with the residents.”
Director Lee Jae-jin said, “I sincerely thank each organization for donating the valuable proceeds earned through the festival for the residents,” and added, “I believe that such sharing will be a driving force to make the local community warmer.”

Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “It is even more meaningful that the proceeds from the Jangam Buckwheat Flower Festival, which provided healing time for residents and revitalized the local commercial district, can be used again for the residents,” and added, “We will strive to ensure that the village festival, which communicates and resonates with the residents, continues to develop and sustain.”
