Hyundai Duty Free Changes BI as Well... "To Strengthen Brand Competitiveness"
The Meaning of "Adding Abundant Benefits and Reducing Inconveniences"
Hyundai Duty Free has unveiled a new brand identity (BI). Following the recent change of its company name, the new BI aims to approach customers more easily and familiarly.
According to Hyundai Duty Free on the 4th, the new BI will be applied to offline stores such as the Trade Center branch, Dongdaemun branch, and Incheon Airport branch, as well as the online mall.
The newly introduced BI features a combination of addition (+) and subtraction (-). The company explained that the design symbolizes adding (+) abundant benefits and new enjoyment, while subtracting (-) shopping burdens and inconveniences.
Along with the BI change, Hyundai Duty Free plans to focus on enhancing business competitiveness through attracting new brands. Last month, Saint Laurent and Balenciaga boutiques opened at the 1st and 2nd passenger terminals of the Incheon Airport branch, respectively. As a result, the Incheon Airport branch now houses a total of 26 luxury brands, including the previously operated Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Gucci.
The Trade Center branch newly opened a Saint Laurent store in October following Fendi in July, and plans to open a Balenciaga store later this month. At the Dongdaemun branch, many new K-fashion brands favored by foreign tourists, such as Matin Kim and Marithe Francois Girbaud, have entered this year.
A Hyundai Duty Free official said, “Through the new BI, we want to approach customers more familiarly,” adding, “We will continue to provide diverse and abundant benefits to set a new standard for duty-free shopping.”

Meanwhile, to commemorate the application of the new BI, a consonant quiz event will be held until the end of the year. Participants in the consonant quiz held on the online internet duty-free shop will receive shopping benefits worth a total of 20,000 KRW for both online and offline use.
