At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Olympic silver medalist Kim Yeji (Imsil County Office), who received praise from Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, for her sophisticated and nonchalant demeanor, has become Tesla Korea's ambassador for the first time in Korea. Kim Yeji's agency, 'Plfeel,' announced on the 1st, "Kim Yeji has been selected as Tesla Korea's ambassador for the first time in the country."

The agency stated, "Kim Yeji and Tesla formed a connection through CEO Musk's mention," adding, "This will be a meaningful activity linking a sustainable future and sports." Through her agency, Kim Yeji expressed, "I am truly happy to be working with Tesla, who recognized me," and said, "I want to deliver a good message together with Tesla."

Earlier, around August, Kim Yeji won a silver medal in the 10m air pistol shooting event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After the competition, on X (formerly Twitter), a video showing Kim Yeji nonchalantly lowering her pistol like a killer in a movie, after setting a world record in the 25m pistol final at the ISSF Baku Shooting World Cup in May, went viral and became a major topic.

In an interview with the US CNN network last month, Kim Yeji said, "I usually enjoy wearing very ordinary clothes. But people say I look stylish," adding, "As an athlete, I never thought about acting in movies. If more people get the chance to be exposed to shooting, I would gladly appear." She also emphasized her role as an athlete, saying, "I am grateful to be called a fashion icon, but I am a shooting athlete. Photo shoots are just a part of me."

She also stated her goal to win a gold medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Kim Yeji said, "I need to prepare from now for the Olympics," and added, "My six-year-old daughter said, 'You have to win a gold medal next time.' So I promised to win a gold medal."
