Hankyung Association "Efforts to Promote Various Veterans Support Projects"
The Korea Economic Association, together with Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Systems, and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, announced on the 29th that they visited the home of Vietnam War veteran Lee Seon-gyu in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, to carry out housing environment improvement activities.
This is part of the "First-Class Veterans Accompaniment with the Business Community" project, a housing environment improvement initiative for national merit recipients jointly promoted by the Korea Economic Association, Hanwha Group, and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs since 2022.
This year, housing environment improvements were carried out for a Korean War veteran (Changwon, Gyeongnam) and a student independence movement participant (Gwangju).
Marking the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam War, Lee’s home in Yeosu was selected as the third improvement target. Lee received the Hwarang Military Merit Medal in 1969 for his distinguished service during the Vietnam War.
