Jungnang-gu Completes Training for Volunteer Origami Specialists... Launch of 'Nemo Semo Origami Volunteer Group'
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) held a 'Paper Folding (Advanced) Specialist Volunteer Training Completion Ceremony' at the Jungnang-gu Volunteer Center on the 24th.
This training was conducted as an advanced course that can be immediately applied in practice, following the basic course held in the first half of the year. It took place over 8 weeks from August to October, with a total of 27 participants completing the course.
Paper folding is known to be popular in various volunteer demand sectors as it helps develop children's brain function and prevents cognitive decline in the elderly, thereby aiding in dementia prevention.
Accordingly, the district conducted a total of 16 training sessions in the first and second halves of the year to cultivate specialist paper folding volunteers.
The volunteers who completed this training will be newly organized as the 'Nemo Semo Paper Folding Volunteer Group' and will engage in specialist volunteer activities from November at local volunteer demand sites such as regional children's centers and daycare centers.
