Kim Dong-geun, the mayor of Uijeongbu, opened a 'Field Mayor's Office' at the Songsan 2-dong Community Center on the 25th and spent time communicating with citizens.
According to Uijeongbu City on the 28th, during the Field Mayor's Office session, discussions were held regarding the management of abandoned bicycles, maintenance of the ecological park, expansion of parking lots, installation of food waste separation bins, and the creation of a loess road.
In particular, Songsan 2-dong, where houses and apartment complexes are densely packed, had many complaints about inconvenience due to a lack of parking spaces.
A citizen who visited the Field Mayor's Office said, "I happened to see the mayor while passing by and came because I had something I really wanted to say," adding, "I usually don't have a chance to meet the mayor, so I was glad to be able to speak directly through this opportunity."
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "I continue to visit community centers to share vivid stories happening around us with various citizens," and added, "Even if the issues are minor, they can be important matters directly related to the daily lives of each citizen, so I will listen carefully to their stories and find ways to improve."
