Large Christmas Tree Sets Early Christmas Atmosphere
The 2024 Korea National Chrysanthemum Exhibition was held splendidly on the morning of the 18th at Hampyeong Expo Park, attended by dignitaries including Lee Sang-ik, Hampyeong County Governor, and Gu Bok-gyu, Hwasun County Governor.

The 2024 Korea Chrysanthemum Festival began its 17-day journey on the morning of the 18th with a grand opening ceremony at Hampyeong Expo Park. Held under the theme "Hampyeong Chrysanthemum's Winter Story," this festival offers a variety of sights and experiences until November 3rd.
The opening ceremony was graced by key figures including Lee Sang-ik, Mayor of Hampyeong County, Lee Nam-o, Chairman of the Hampyeong County Council, as well as Gu Bok-gyu, Mayor of Hwasun County, and Kim Soon-ok, Deputy Mayor of Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City. The event kicked off with a performance by the female electronic string group Electia.
This year’s festival features a large Christmas tree and a bell gate installed in the central plaza, creating an early Christmas atmosphere, while various chrysanthemum sculptures welcome visitors. Alongside the chrysanthemum bonsai exhibition and entries from the national chrysanthemum art competition, a range of interactive events are expected to captivate tourists with new attractions.
