Gangnam-gu to Host the 1st Senior Park Golf Tournament on the 23rd

View original imageGangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will hold the "1st Gangnam Senior Park Golf Tournament" on the 23rd at Tancheon Park Golf Course in Segok-dong. A total of 150 residents aged 65 and older will participate as players.
This tournament is the first event hosted by Gangnam-gu to promote health and harmony among seniors through park golf, a sport enjoyed by many elderly people, in celebration of the October Senior Citizens Month. Tancheon Park Golf Course is the largest in Seoul, offering courses of varying difficulty levels and beautiful views of the Tancheon stream as a backdrop for the games.
The event will begin with a band performance by the Volunteer Club of the Gangnam-gu branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, followed by the official start of the competition at noon. Players will compete individually in men's and women's categories across three courses (A to C), each consisting of 9 holes.
After the first preliminary round, the top 50% of players will advance to the second final round. Ultimately, a total of 10 winners?5 men and 5 women?will receive certificates, medals, and prizes.
