Man in his 50s Arrested and Sent to Prosecution for Assault Leading to Death of Father in His 80s
A man in his 50s accused of assaulting his father in his 80s to death has been handed over to the prosecution while in custody.
On the 16th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent Mr. A, a man in his 50s, to the prosecution in custody on the 11th on charges of injury resulting in death of a direct ascendant.
Mr. A is accused of assaulting his father, Mr. B, at their residence in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, around 1:50 p.m. on the 6th, causing his death. Mr. B is reported to have died while being transported to the hospital. The police secured a weapon presumed to have been used in the crime at the scene.
