Why Are You Single? ... Women Have 'High Standards' vs Men Lack 'This'
Survey of 12,060 Unmarried Men and Women
Men Rank "Lack of Opportunities to Meet the Opposite Sex" 1st
"Monotonous Lifestyle Patterns Lead to No Opportunities to Meet People"
It was found that people think differently about the reasons they are single depending on their gender.
The social dating app 'Jeongoeui Date' recently conducted a survey on 'the biggest reason I am single' among 12,060 unmarried men and women. As a result, 29% of men responded that the biggest reason was 'lack of opportunities to meet the opposite sex.' This was followed by 'lack of personal charm and appearance' (23%) and 'high standards for an ideal type, so I couldn't find someone I liked' (14%). The fourth place was 'financial issues,' which was close to the third place.
On the other hand, for women, 'high standards for an ideal type, so I couldn't find someone I liked' ranked first at 28%. Next was 'lack of opportunities to meet the opposite sex' (27%), and 'lack of personal charm and appearance' (16%) came in third. The fourth reason was 'lack of time.'
In fact, men mentioned comments such as "I work at a male-dominated company, so I hardly ever encounter women," and "When working, my lifestyle becomes monotonous, so I have fewer chances to meet new people." Meanwhile, women expressed opinions like "As I get older, it becomes harder to find someone I like," showing a pattern similar to the survey results.
