Allegations of Entertaining at Entertainment Venue... Paju City Council Member Says "Groundless"
A Paju City council member denied allegations of entertaining police officers at a local entertainment establishment in Paju, calling the claims baseless. Earlier, JTBC reported on the 4th through 'Sageon Banjang' that Son Seong-ik, a Paju City council member affiliated with the Democratic Party, was alleged to have entertained police officers at an entertainment venue in Paju.
In response, Councilman Son posted on his Facebook on the 5th, stating, "I have heard that 'Sageon Banjang' reported groundless allegations of me entertaining others," and added, "However, the suspicions raised in the report are completely untrue."
Son explained, "A car repair shop owner whom I met through a car club I used to participate in opened a bar and requested several visits. I was unable to find time for a while, but on that day, he contacted me again, so I visited. There was no so-called 'entertainment' or any illegal activity," he asserted. He further added, "Without even hearing my explanation, the report was maliciously made using provocative words and footage without any basis."
