Designer Fashion Show Held at Seongdong Design Week in Seongsu-dong, the Hub of Design Culture

Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) will hold the 'Seongdong Design Week Designer Fashion Show' in the Seongsu-dong area on October 12.

Since 2015, Seongdong-gu has been hosting 'Seongdong Design Week' to promote the development of the local design culture industry, and since last year, it has been presenting a fashion show introducing designers who will lead the domestic fashion industry in collaboration with fashion designer Lee Sang-bong.

The fashion show will take place on October 12 from 4:20 PM to 6:00 PM along Seongsu-ro (in front of Daerim Warehouse), and the space will be open for everyone visiting Seongsu-dong to watch.

The first part features a fashion show by emerging designers who represent the future of Korean fashion, and the second part presents a fashion show by mid-career designers currently leading the Korean fashion industry.

Design Week Fashion Show Held Last Year

In particular, this event is linked with the cultural creative industry festival 'Creative×Seongsu,' held throughout Seongsu-dong, and is expected to play a role in driving Seongsu's culture and fashion industry.

During the festival, visitors can also enjoy various attractions and food, including busking performances (Music Seongsu), art exhibitions (Seongsu Art Fair), handmade shoe flea market (Shushu Market), barista festival, and Ttukdo Youth Night Market.

Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "'Seongdong Design Week Designer Fashion Show' is expected to play a significant role as a driving force for the development of Korean fashion," and added, "We will continue to strive to further develop Seongdong-gu's design industry based on Seongsu-dong, the center of design culture."
