Paju-si Selected as an Excellent Institution for the 'National Happiness Civil Service Office' for the 5th Consecutive Time
Paju City was selected as an excellent institution in the '2024 National Happiness Civil Service Office' contest.
Gyeonggi Paju City has been selected as an excellent institution in the ‘2024 National Happiness Civil Service Office’ contest and will receive the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award.
According to Paju City on the 4th, the ‘National Happiness Civil Service Office’ is a system in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety annually evaluates 25 items across four categories, including internal and external spaces of civil service offices and civil service satisfaction, targeting local governments, education offices, and special local administrative agencies nationwide, selects excellent institutions, and recognizes their status for three years.
Since newly certified as a National Happiness Civil Service Office in 2012, Paju City has been selected as a National Happiness Civil Service Office for five consecutive times including 2014, 2018, 2021, and this year. Earlier in February, it was also selected as the best institution for five consecutive years in the ‘Comprehensive Evaluation of Civil Service’ jointly hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, proving its status as a truly ‘excellent civil service institution.’
So far, Paju City has made efforts to improve convenience for civil service users by including families with infants and young children in the target users of the ‘Civil Service Window for Vulnerable Groups,’ equipping assistive devices and convenience facilities for vulnerable groups, supporting video sign language consultation services for civil service users with language and hearing disabilities, and providing translation and interpretation services for foreigners.
In addition, efforts to establish a safe environment in the civil service office have been made in parallel, such as conducting joint mock training with the police to prepare for the rapidly increasing malicious civil complaints and to strengthen employee protection.
