Seongdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jung Won-oh) will hold the 2nd Pet Festival “Play in Seongdong with Your Dog” on the 28th at the Salgotni Sports Park Inline Skating Rink.
As the number of households raising pets continues to increase recently, interest in “petiquette,” the etiquette to be observed when spending time with pets in public places, is also growing.
Accordingly, the district plans to establish a mature pet culture by holding a pet festival under the theme “Petiquette We Keep Together.”
In the pre-event, trot singer and comedian “Young-gi” will perform a congratulatory show and serve as the MC for the festival. Following this, the festival will open with a raffle, opening ceremony, and petiquette performance as a commemorative event.
The main event will feature various programs including ▲Pet Family Fashion Show ▲Godzilla Game ▲Pet Dog Sports Day ▲Wait! The Strongest Contest Event ▲Petiquette and Pet OX Quiz.
Additionally, side events such as ▲Promotion, Participation, and Experience Zones ▲Petiquette Stamp Tour ▲Flea Market ▲Food Trucks ▲Photo Zone will also be operated.
The Pet Family Fashion Show will feature 15 teams who applied in advance, giving them a special opportunity to showcase their talents on the runway with their pets. The Pet Dog Sports Day is expected to provide an enjoyable and dynamic time as owners and their dogs participate together in obstacle races and other activities.
The promotional zone’s campaign to promote the culture of adopting abandoned animals also draws attention. Participants will have the chance to meet dogs waiting for adoption directly, and on-site adoption consultations will be provided to spread the culture of adopting abandoned animals.
In the participation zone, attendees can receive one-on-one pet health consultations, behavioral counseling, and basic grooming services. In the experience zone, activities such as “Four-Cut Pet Photos,” pet tarot readings, and making name tags and toys will be held, allowing participants to create special memories with their pets.
Last year, the “1st Pet Together Festival” was successfully held with the participation of over 500 pet teams.
Those wishing to participate in the Pet Family Fashion Show or Pet Dog Sports Day can apply through the dedicated pet festival website, and applications will also be accepted on-site on the day of the event.
