The Seoul High Court Criminal Division 13 (Presiding Judges Baek Gang-jin, Kim Seon-hee, Lee In-su) issued an additional arrest warrant for Jeon on the 23rd on charges of fraud under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.
Originally, the court was scheduled to deliver the appellate trial verdict for Jeon on that day, but the trial resumed after Jeon's side requested a consolidation with the child abuse trial.
Previously, Jeon was arrested and indicted on charges of embezzling about 3 billion won in investment funds from 27 people he met through lectures and other means from April 2022 to October last year, and was sentenced to 12 years in prison in February.
