"Looking for a Job? Visit the Disabled Job Fair"...Daegu Dalseo-gu to Hire 100 People at 20 Companies
Daegu Dalseo-gu (District Mayor Lee Taehun) will hold the '2024 Job Fair for Persons with Disabilities' at the Daegu Vocational Competency Development Institute on the 26th at 2 p.m.
This job fair is jointly organized with the Daegu Regional Headquarters of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled and the Daegu Welfare Center for the Hearing and Speech Impaired to connect job-seeking individuals with disabilities and companies in need of employees.
On the day of the event, more than 20 local small and medium-sized enterprises, including E&One Co., Ltd., Sangil General Management Co., Ltd., SL Industry Development Co., Ltd., THN Co., Ltd., and K-Tech Service Co., Ltd., will participate. These companies plan to recruit about 100 registered persons with disabilities seeking jobs in various fields such as logistics, on-site production, security, and environmental cleaning.
One-on-one on-site interviews between HR managers from participating companies and job seekers will be conducted. Job seekers wishing to participate should bring their resumes.
To ensure convenience for attendees with disabilities, sign language interpreters and volunteers will be present to provide event guidance and assist with job application forms. In addition, various side events such as job counseling, individual makeup consulting, calligraphy experiences, and air freshener making will be offered.
Since 2010, Daegu Dalseo-gu has regularly held job fairs to connect job seekers and employers. In April of this year, a job fair for middle-aged and older adults was successfully held, and another job fair open to all groups is planned for November.
Lee Taehun, Mayor of Daegu Dalseo-gu, said, "Through this job fair, I hope that persons with disabilities, who are a vulnerable group in employment, will be able to find good jobs and confidently establish themselves as members of society," adding, "We will continue to actively promote various job support programs so that the efforts of many job seekers can bear fruit."
