On the Second Day of Torrential Rain, Ground Sinks in Busan... Two Vehicles Including Fire Truck Fall Into the Ground
As heavy rain continued for the second consecutive day, a traffic accident caused by a sinkhole occurred in Busan.
According to the Sasang Police Station in Busan on the 21st, at around 8:56 a.m. that day, the ground subsided on a road in Hakjang-dong, Sasang-gu, causing a fire truck and a 5-ton cargo truck to fall into the sinkhole and overturn.
The area of the subsided ground was found to be approximately 10 meters wide, 5 meters long, and about 8 meters deep.
It was reported that two firefighters in the fire truck and a male cargo truck driver in his 40s were on board at the time, but none of them sustained significant injuries.
